Every so often, a booking comes with a little extra magic. Doing makeup for Lydia McLaughlin for the Nobleman magazine cover party — a private dinner event celebrating cover star Wolfgang Puck — was exactly that kind of night.
For an intimate evening surrounded by press photography, the makeup had to work twice as hard: elegant and refined up close at the dinner table, and flawless under the step-and-repeat lights. Lydia's emerald satin gown set the direction — we went with radiant, perfected skin, softly defined eyes, warm rosy cheeks, and a glossy neutral lip that photographed beautifully alongside her statement diamond necklace.
